Child10 Summit 2021

The 17th-19th of October the Child10 Awarded Member Organization arrived in Stockholm for the Child10 2021 Summit and a seminar together with HM Queen Silvia’s Foundation Care About the Children.

During the summit the Awarded Members participated in several workshops on:
Direct Services
Communication and Advocacy
Outreach
Survivor Inclusion & Child Participation
Leadership and International Organization
Fundraising
Working with Volunteers
Crisis Management

They also participated in a seminar on staff care, focusing on staff burnout and secondary trauma in the CSO human rights sector.

For the EU Anti-Trafficking Day the 18th of October Child10 and HM Queen Silvia’s Foundation Care About the Children brought key UN and EU policymakers to Stockholm to meet with the Child10 Awarded Member Organizations in a seminar at the Royal Castle. The seminar included an Award Ceremony where the Awarded Members got to accept their Child10 Award from HM Queen Silvia as well as a panel discussion with representatives from UN, EU, the Swedish government and the private sector.

Charlotte Petri Gornitzka – Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF

Evin Incir – Member S&D of the European Parliament

Ilias Chatzis – Chief of UNODC’s Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Section

Malaika Oringo – Survivor and Founder of Child10 Awarded Member Footprint to Freedom

The panel discussion evolved around the importance of the work of the CSO sector in this field and the need for stronger collaboration and cooperation between sectors.

We have had three inspiring days and are now looking forward to further collaborations in the future.
