‍‍Rouguiatou Diallo

Guinea’s geographical location, porous borders, poverty and socio-political crises make it a point of origin and transit country for many irregular migrants.

After many of her friends lost their lives crossing the Mediterranean Sea, Rouguiatou Diallo decided she needed to do something. She founded the organization ADEPE which provides children with vital information about the risks of migrating to Europe through the irregular migration routes. By supporting children and young people to find safe places to stay in their home countries, she has contributed to saving thousands from these deadly risks. With her relentless devotion to helping these vulnerable children, her work has reached far beyond her country.
