Child 10 2018/2019

In December 2018, the 5th edition of Child 10 Summit and Award were held in Malmö, Sweden, to celebrate and recognize ten brave child right’s grass root leaders and activists from Sweden and United States that are all working to support migrant children and youth in undocumented situations. In Malmö we gathered social workers, local business leaders, international entrepreneurs, civil society, friends and families. We are grateful to everyone of you that were engaged. All parts of the society need to come together to be a strong enough voice for the unheard. Child 10 will now continue to support the Awardees in their joint effort to scale their impact for the most vulnerable children in our communities. During 2018 -2019, Child 10 focuses to learn more about, and support, migrant children and youth living in undocumented situations. Children need to be safe from violence and exploitation. They need to be able to stay with their families, go to school, see a doctor and know that they matter. Children living without documentation are extremely vulnerable to abuse, exploitation and other deep traumas. We have awarded 10 brave child right’s grass root leaders and activists from Sweden and United States that are all working to support children without papers – but not without rights.
